Emphasis on Carrier-Imposed Fee Change on FR/PR Cabins


Korean Air would like to inform you that the following changes have been made to 
the Carrier-Imposed Fee (CIF) for FR/PR cabins.


1.  Changes

○ Applicable Cabin : FR/PR class (No changes to EY cabin CIF) 
○ Applicable Sector : Exit America to Korea and Asia
○   PR/FR Class CIF Adjustment : EY CIF + $100.00/OW 
○   Effective Date
-       America to Asia (Exclude Korea) : On/After March 6, 2023 
-       America to Korea :   On/After April 26, 2023


2. Notes on Handling KE Award Upgrade Tickets

○ The collection of the increased CIF difference is determined based on the
original ticket issuance date.

-   America to Korea
(1)   Original Ticket issued on/before April 25, 2023
→ Mileage Upgrade to FR/PR cabin : No need to collect CIF difference

(2)   Original Ticket issued on/after April 26, 2023
→ Mileage Upgrade to FR/PR cabin : Need to collect CIF difference-   America to Asia

-   America to Asia
(3) Original Ticket issued on/before March 5, 2023
→ Mileage Upgrade to FR/PR cabin : No need to collect CIF difference

(4)   Original Ticket issued on/after March 6, 2023
→ Mileage Upgrade to FR/PR cabin : Need to collect CIF difference
