Standby not allowed for Award Ticketed Passengers

Restrictions on Standby at Airports for International Flight Awards

Please be informed that airport standby for award tickets will be restricted as follows.

 

  1. Purpose: To comply with the rules for award tickets and to smooth boarding process
    • Award tickets(including upgrade awards) are available only under pre-booking and purchase conditions.
    • Airport standby has partially been allowed depending on the circumstances of providing service, but in order to ensure a smooth check-in process and on-time flight operation, airport standby for award tickets is now restricted according to award conditions.
       
  2. Target:
    • International award tickets and upgrade awards (A/Z/O/X CLS)
       
  3. Details
    • Go-Show passengers with unconfirmed reservations on flights for which award seat reservations are not available will not be allowed to standby at the airport on the day of boarding. (including ticket holders)
       
  4. Effective Date: on/after 21 August, 2023
