Notice of Change in Penalty Rule for USA/Canada/South America Originating Fares


We are pleased to announce a significant simplification and reduction in the refund and
reissue penalties for our fares originating in the Americas and continuing to Asia.

1. Details of the Policy Alignment
This change reduces the penalties for Americas →Asia (via Korea) routes to match
the more familiar and lower penalty structure of the Americas → Korea (Seoul)
routes.

  •  Applicable Origin: USA, Canada, and South America.
  •  Applicable Routes: Routes from the Americas to Asia (with transfer in Korea/Seoul).
  •  Applicable Fares: All EY CLS fares (excluding Y Class).
  •  Core Change: Fees for Americas → Asia (via Korea) are now aligned with fees for Americas → Korea (Seoul) routes.


2. Penalty Fee Comparison and New Rates
The table below highlights the substantial reduction in fees for Americas → Asia (via
Korea) routes
